England outclass Pakistan to take series lead

England beat Pakistan by 141 runs at Edgbaston to take a 2-1 series lead.

England have bowled Pakistan out for 201 and completed a 141-run win in the third Test at Edgbaston.

The hosts took a 2-1 series lead after five of their bowlers took two wickets each, securing victory with 13.1 overs remaining.

Pakistan got off to a solid start as Sami Aslam hit 70, but Misbah-ul-Haq, Asad Shafiq and Sarfraz Ahmed failed to reach double figures.

England turned the match around after conceding a first-innings deficit of 103; it was only the sixth time in the national team's history that they have won a Test after trailing by more than 100.

The victory was confirmed when Sohail Khan hit a return catch to Moeen Ali to fall for 36 off 37 balls, sending the The Oval into a frenzy.

The two sides will meet again for the final Test on August 11.
