England have clinched the opening one-day international against Bangladesh in a dramatic 21-run victory in Dhaka.
Jason Roy got England off the mark quickly with 40 runs off 41 balls, but they suffered a wobble when Jonny Bairstow ran himself out for a duck.
After a lull, Ben Stokes and debutant Ben Duckett led the attack as they pulled up 153 runs for the fourth wicket.
Stokes reached a milestone of his own as he hit a maiden one-day century for England off 98 deliveries, while Duckett hit 60 off 78 balls.
After Stokes was taken out on 101, Jos Buttler - stand-in captain following Eoin Morgan's withdrawal from the squad - claimed a half-century to help England post 309-8.
In response, Imrul Kayes was the star of the show for Bangladesh with the bat as he scored 112 runs off 119 balls, frustrating England in the process.
The hosts moved on top as they required less than a run a ball in the final 11 overs, but Jake Ball saved the match for his team by becoming the first man to take a five-wicket haul on an ODI debut for England.
