England's Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow have been named in Wisden's top five cricketers of the year.

All-rounder Stokes, who was part of the side that claimed back The Ashes last summer and reached the World Twenty20 final in India, was praised by the annual publication for "a string of match-changing performances".

Teammate Bairstow also made the list after his impressive form for Yorkshire last summer earned him a recall to the England squad midway through the Ashes campaign.

The top five is rounded out by Steve Smith of Australia and New Zealand duo Brendon McCullum and Kane Williamson, with Williamson being named leading cricketer of the year having "confirmed himself as one of the talents of his generation" in 2015.
