Darren Sammy: West Indies "happy" chasing down 182

West Indies skipper Darren Sammy says that his team were not worried by the prospect of chasing down England's victory target of 183 runs.

Captain Darren Sammy has revealed that the West Indies were not daunted by the 183-run victory target that they were set by England at the ICC World Twenty20 earlier today.

The Caribbean nation made light work of that target, thanks largely to an unbeaten century from Chris Gayle.

The 36-year-old helped his side get over the finishing line with six wickets and just under two overs to spare.

"It's always a joy to watch Chris Gayle. He's an incredible player, it was great to watch in the dugout," Sammy told Sky Sports News.

"I thought England batted well but we were happy to chase down 182. We thought at one time we would be chasing 220, but they never really accelerated."

England return to action on Friday against South Africa, while the Windies have to wait until Sunday to face Sri Lanka.
