Eoin Morgan: 'Defeat not a big blow'

England captain Eoin Morgan has insisted that yesterday's ODI defeat to South Africa is "not that big a blow" to their chances of a series win.

The tourists had taken a 2-0 lead in the series but successive defeats in the space of three days set up Sunday's finale in Cape Town as the decider.

"For our hopes in the series, it is probably not that big a blow," Morgan told Sky Sports News. "Ultimately, it will come down to that last game - and we're really looking forward to it."

Morgan also joked that he may have jinxed the result in Johannesburg by praising the form of Joe Root, who has scored centuries in the two losses.

"I said in the last game as well, when he scores hundreds we normally win," Morgan added. "Maybe I put a jinx on him - but I want him to score another one."

After the ODI series, England are due to play two T20 matches against the Proteas.
