Serbia win gold in kayak K2 500m

Serbia have won the gold medal of the kayak K2 500m, with a time 1:49.904.

The pair of Milica Starovic and Dalma Ruzicic Benedek beat Romania (1:50.925) by over a second, while favourites Hungary slipped to third with a time of 1:51.174.

British pair Lani Belcher and Angela Hannah narrowly missed out on a place in the final by 0.1 seconds.

The medal is Serbia's first gold of the European Games.
