Wladimir Klitschko open to facing Tyson Fury in England

Wladimir Klitschko reveals that he would be open to defending his world titles against Tyson Fury in a stadium fight in England.

Wladimir Klitschko has thrown open the possibility of defending his world titles against Tyson Fury in England.

Klitschko and mandatory challenger Fury are scheduled to face each other later in the summer, and the Ukrainian, who has made 18 successful world title defences in a row, has insisted that he would welcome the chance to compete in front of English fans for the second time in his career.

The 39-year-old told Ringside: "I haven't fought in England for a long time. It was a great event and a great audience. British fight fans are really exciting and loud. I really got to hear them also in my fight against David Haye in Hamburg.

"I look forward to fighting back in England or another place. It's definitely going to be somewhere in Europe. It's not a fight for the United States."

Klitschko's only appearance in England came in 2000, when he recorded a seventh-round stoppage win against Monte Barrett in London.
