Los Angeles Lakers sign Robert Upshaw to multi-year deal

The Los Angeles Lakers have confirmed that they have signed center Robert Upshaw.

The 21-year-old was dismissed from the team at the University of Washington two years ago for violating team rules, but still decided to undergo selection in the NBA Draft.

Upshaw went unselected in the Draft, but after two years the Lakers have made the decision to sign him to a multi-year contract.

The Lakers begin their training camp later this month.
