Report: Brooklyn Nets keen to trade Joe Johnson

The Brooklyn Nets are keen to trade Joe Johnson this summer after recently holding talks with the Memphis Grizzlies, according to reports.

The Brooklyn Nets have reportedly made trading guard Joe Johnson a priority before the start of next season.

Johnson is currently paid one of the highest salaries in the NBA, and with one season remaining on his current contract, there have been suggestions that a title contender may want to add to their options by recruiting the 34-year-old.

According to ESPN, the Nets recently held talks with the Memphis Grizzlies about a possible trade, but the two sides were unable to come to an agreement.

The report suggests that the Charlotte Hornets and Detroit Pistons have both registered their interest in recent months, and Brooklyn remain hopeful that they can find a deal which will suit their future plans.

Brooklyn are also believed to be keen to trade Jarrett Jack this summer.
