Irish badminton player Scott Evans has lost to Denmark's Emil Holst in the quarter-finals of the men's singles competition at the European Games in Baku.
Evans, the tournament's top seed, lost two games 21-17 21-14.
The Irishman had a lead of five points in the first game but still went on to lose.
Number eight seed Holst will now face German Dieter Domke in tomorrow's semi-final.
