Jason Peters: 'DeMarco Murray will get his yards at the Philadelphia Eagles'

Philadelphia Eagles tackle Jason Peters insists that the side will give new running back DeMarco Murray every chance to better what he achieved at the Dallas Cowboys.

Philadelphia Eagles tackle Jason Peters has insisted that the side will give new running back DeMarco Murray the chance to better the record numbers he achieved while at the Dallas Cowboys last season.

The NFL Offensive Player of the Year secured a number of achievements, including Jim Brown's 1958 NFL rushing record for most consecutive 100-yard games.

"It's a big weight on our shoulders," said Peters, according to the team's official website.

"He was the rushing champ last year. He almost broke the record. For him to come here and not duplicate that, that would discredit us a little bit with the Dallas offensive line. We've got to make sure he gets his yards.

"That's a big challenge. The Dallas offensive line is good. We're just better. We're going to make sure he gets his yards."

Murray moved to the Eagles back in March in a deal thought to be worth in the region of $42m (£27m).
