Sting close to signing WWE deal?

WWE are reportedly close to agreeing a deal to bring TNA star Sting to the company.

Sting, who made a name for himself in wrestling with the now-defunct WCW, has been with TNA since 2003 but his existing contract with the company is close to expiring.

According to the Wrestling Observer, the 54-year-old is ready to sign a deal with WWE, but it is unclear what part he would play in the company.

It is being reported that the acquisition of 'the Icon' isn't deemed as a top priority by WWE, with the indication being that, if he penned a contract in the near future, he wouldn't feature at Wrestlemania XXX in April.
