Former Germany goalkeeper Tim Wiese makes WWE debut

Former Germany goalkeeper Tim Wiese makes his WWE debut at a live show in Frankfurt.

Former Germany goalkeeper Tim Wiese has made an appearance at a WWE live show in Frankfurt on Saturday.

Wiese, who retired from football earlier this year, revealed in September that he was in negotiations with the Sports Entertainment company, while it was reported this week that he would feature when WWE held a show in his home country.

The reports proved to be true as Wiese was revealed to be the official timekeeper for a tag-team bout pitting Stardust and Goldust against The Usos.

It's unknown what Wiese's role will be in the future, but one possibility is the 32-year-old spending time in NXT, the development system that WWE uses to develop up-and-coming superstars.
