Kurt Angle: 'I will retire next year'

Kurt Angle announces that he will only remain in professional wrestling for one more year as he gets ready to reveal which company we will sign with for the remainder of his career.

Kurt Angle has revealed that he is aiming to have 'the best year that he possibly can' during the final 12 months of his career.

The American, who has starred in both WWE and TNA, is remaining coy on which company he will sign with, but the former Olympic gold medallist has admitted that he intends to retire upon the expiration of his next deal.

The 45-year-old told AlternativeNation.net: "I can't really say who I'm going with yet or what company I'm going to sign with. I am going to sign, but I'm going to just sign for one year, and that's that.

"I think that I'm pretty much done, I'm just going to have the best year that I can have. Hopefully it'll be my best year, then I'm going to retire."

Angle spent eight years with WWE between 1998 and 2006 before going on to spend most of the remainder of his career with TNA.
