Result: Taha Akgul wins wrestling gold for Turkey in men's 125kg freestyle

Turkey's Taha Akgul beats Aleksei Shemarov to win gold in the men's wrestling freestyle 125kg.

Turkey's Taha Akgul has won gold in the men's wrestling freestyle 125kg with victory over Belarus's Aleksei Shemarov in the final.

Akgul dominated the match and won 3-0 on classification points, thanks to a first-period score of 6-0.

The 24-year-old clinched his country's fifth gold of the Games, in a result which moves them up to sixth in the medal table.

Georgia's Geno Petriashvili and Azerbaijan's Jamaladdin Magomedov claimed bronze.

· Reigning two-time Olympic champion Andy Murray starts his title defence against Canadian hotshot Felix Auger-Aliassime (7am approx.)
