Dzhamal Otarsultanov wins freestyle wrestling gold medal

Russia's Dzhamal Otarsultanov has won the Olympic gold medal in the men's 55kg freestyle wrestling with victory over Vladimer Khinchegashvili of Georgia.

With both competitors struggling to make the breakthrough in the opening round, Otarsultanov gained the vital point to seize the initiative.

The second round was equally tight, but it was the Russian who edged it 4-3 in a dramatic finish to win gold.

North Korea's Il Kyong Yang and Shinichi Yumoto of Japan picked up bronze medals earlier in the evening.
