Kaori Icho claims third wrestling gold

Kaori Icho of Japan has won the gold medal in the 63kg women's freestlye wrestling event.

Icho, who has two previous Olympic titles to her name, defeated Jing Ruixe of China 2-0 to win the third gold medal of her career.

Japan also had success earlier in the evening with Hitomi Obara's triumph in the 48kg women's freestyle.

Russia's Lubov Volosova and Mongolian Battsetseg Soronzonbold both took home the bronze.
