Abdulrashid Sadulaev: 'I didn't let my coaches down'

The Russian Federation's Abdulrashid Sadulaev admits that he is "very happy" to become the 86kg European champion.

European Games gold medallist Abdulrashid Sadulaev has admitted that he is relieved to have won wrestling gold in the men's 86kg category.

The Russian Federation athlete beat the Republic of Moldova's Piotr Ianulov in the final earlier today, to help extend his country's lead at the top of the medal table.

He told reporter: "I am very happy, I didn't let down my coaches and brought one more medal to our team, one of the strongest teams."

The 19-year-old adds the European title to the World Championship gold he won last year.
