Great Britain were soundly beaten by Romania in their opening match of the men's water polo tournament. Romania made their superior experience count to record a resounding 13-4 victory in the Group B match. Two goals from Rob Parker and strikes by Craig Figes and Jack Waller were not enough to prevent a disappointing defeat for Team GB. Goalkeeper Ed Scott was kept extremely busy and could not stop a glut of goals from a strong Romanian side who will hope to progress to the knockout stages. Team GB next face Serbia on Tuesday.
