Team GB's Max Cater misses out on semi-final

Team GB's Max Cater has missed out on a place in the semi-finals in the men's -58kg taekwondo event at the European Games.

The 17-year-old, who beat France's Dylan Chellamootoo in the preliminary round earlier, lost 13-3 to Si Mohamed Ketbi of Belgium in the quarter-finals.

After a closely-fought first round, Ketbi started to dominate in the second, adding four offensive kicks, a three-point head kick and a defensive kick to surge ahead, setting up the win.

Cater will now go into the repechage in a bid to earn a chance to fight for the bronze medal.
