Taekwondo champion Anastasiia Baryshnikova has said that it is "a big honour" to win gold in the women's 67kg final.

The Russian Federation athlete beat home favourite Farida Azizova in the final as a final-round point saw her win 6-5.

She told reporters: "Honestly I haven't fully realised it yet that I am champion of the European Games. It is a big honour and pleasure for me.

"I like this city, I came here, not for the first time, and every time I return home with medals. I qualified here for the Olympic Games in London, I won the European championships here. So I was very happy when I heard that the competition will take place here."

The Russian Federation currently have 22 gold medals.
