Team GB's Andrew Willis through to 200m breaststroke final

Great Britain's Andrew Willis earns a place in the final of the 200m breaststroke final after winning the second semi-final.

Great Britain's Andrew Willis has secured a place in the 200m breaststroke final with an impressive performance in his semi-final race.

After witnessing Japan's Ippei Watanabe set a new Olympic record in the first heat, Willis produced a controlled race that saw him spend the majority of it behind American Kevin Cordes.

However, the 25-year-old finished the strongest out of a quartet of swimmers who were all vying for first place and he made the final as the second-fastest qualifier.

There was disappointment for Craig Benson, however, as he finished the second semi in seventh position.
