Great Britain's Adam Brown has announced his retirement from swimming at the age of 25.
The freestyler won his first international gold medal at this summer's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow by bringing home the English 4x100m relay team in a Games-best time.
"This decision has been extremely tough to make but I feel it is the right time for me to call it a day," said Brown.
"It has been an amazing journey and one that I will forever be proud of. Finishing it off with Commonwealth gold is a great way to end."
Cambridge-born Brown will now complete a degree in the United States before trying to forge a career in coaching.
