Silver for Louise Watkin in S9 50m freestyle

Louise Watkin has been just edged into the silver medal position in the S9 50m freestyle final.

In an incredibly close race it was the Chinese swimmer Lin Ping who just got ahead of the rest of the field and finished with a new Paralympic record of 29.12s.

Watkin came agonisingly close as she touched home in 29.21s, narrowly ahead of Ellie Cole of Australia who set an Oceanic record of 29.28s.
