Great Britain's Natalie Jones won't contest for medal in S6 50m butterfly final

Great Britain's Natalie Jones will not fight for a Paralympic medal in the women's S6 50m butterfly final after failing to qualify from her heat.

The British hopeful recording a season-best time of 41.97s and finished in fifth place but it wasn't enough to secure a place in tonight's final.

Oksana Khrul of Ukraine stormed out of the blocks to take the top spot and set a new world record time of 36.96s.

Meanwhile, China's Lu Dong won the first heat of the 50m butterfly to set up a place in the final.
