Stephanie Millward hopes to do better than Olympians in pool

Millward: 'We'll do what Olympians couldn't'

Great Britain's Paralympic swimmer Stephanie Millward is hopeful that she and her compatriots will be able to win more medals than the Olympians before them.

Team GB could only clinch two bronze medals and one silver during this summer's Olympic Games, which has prompted questions over the future funding of swimming in this country.

"They swam as well as they could which is all you can ask for," The Telegraph quotes Millward as saying. "Hopefully the Paralympics will get the medals the Olympics unfortunately didn't."

Millward will contest for a medal after qualifying as the fourth-fastest in the S9 100m butterfly.
