Team GB storm into men's 4x100m medley relay final

Team GB have stormed into the final of the men's 4x100m medley relay with a dominant performance in the first heat.

A strong backstroke leg from Liam Tancock put the home nation in pole position, and they held steady to force an impressive Australia team into second.

The United States will go into the final as favourites after winning the second heat with the fastest qualifying time of 3:32.65.

America will call up its big names Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte in the last eight, while Britain will draft in breaststroke silver medallist Michael Jamieson.

The men's 4x100m medley relay final takes place at the Aquatics Centre tomorrow evening.
