Renwick: 'Anything can happen in final'

Team GB swimmer Robbie Renwick has his sights set on a medal in the men's 200m freestyle final.

The 24-year-old, who is up against the likes of Ryan Lochte and Yang Sun, is an outsider for glory but remains upbeat about his chances.

He told The Sun: "It's fantastic to make the final. Once you're in there, anything can happen."

"I'm really looking forward to it - another drop of a second is well within my ability. I felt in great shape and the crowd and the adrenaline got me through."

Renwick turned in a time of 1:46.65 in the semi-finals to finish joint-third in his heat, and sixth overall.

The men's 200m freestyle final takes place at 7.43pm this evening.
