Sole British hopeful reaches 200m backstroke semis in Baku

Team GB's Rebecca Sherwin did enough to qualify for the semi-finals of the 200m backstroke in Baku this morning.

The 15-year-old finished fourth in her heat by clocking a time of 2:18.86.

Germany's Maxine Wolters finished in a time of 2:11.93 to set the pace, almost two seconds faster than her nearest rival, Russia's Polina Egorova (2:13.83).

The semi-finals will take place in the Baku Aquatics Centre later this afternoon.
