Bronze medal for Scotland's youngest Commonwealth Games competitor

Davies wins bronze in SB9 final

Scotland's youngest ever Commonwealth Games competitor has won a bronze medal in the women's Para-sport 100m breaststroke SB9 final.

Thirteen-year-old Erraid Davies, who hails from the Shetland Islands, recovered from a weak start in the first half of the race to edge out Canada's Aurelie Rivard, who finished in fourth.

Race favourite Sophie Pascoe of New Zealand powered to victory, finishing over two seconds ahead of Australia's Madeline Scott with a time of 1:19:36.

Pascoe has previously won 10 medals at the Paralympics, including three golds and a silver at London 2012.
