Park given permission to train in Seoul pool

South Korean swimmer Park Tae-hwan has been given permission to train in a public pool in Seoul after parents of local school children allowed him to join their class.

Park, who won Olympic gold in the 400m freestyle in 2008, was handed an 18-month ban earlier this year after testing positive for testosterone, which also prevented him from training at any facilities associated with the Korea Swimming Association.

However, according to Yonhap News, the 25-year-old will make his return in the Olympic pool in Seoul during their training session on Monday.

During his career, Park has won a total of four Olympic medals and two world titles.
