Gandy wins silver in Shanghai

Britain's Ellen Gandy has won a silver medal in the 200m butterfly at the World Swimming Championships in Shanghai.

The 19-year-old was 0.04 seconds slower than China's Jiao Liuyang, while Liu Zige finished third.

Fellow Brit Jemma Lowe, who was the fastest qualifier for the final, finished seventh.

It is Britain's third medal at the championships following Rebecca Adlington's silver in the 400m freestyle and Kerri-Anne Payne's gold in the 10km open water.
