Gemma Spofforth, Liam Tancock are among the qualifiers for London 2012 following victories at the British Swimming Championships.

World record holder Gemma Spofforth has sealed her place at this summer's London Olympics by winning the 100m backstroke final at the British Swimming Championships.

Spofforth nearly quit professional swimming last year after a poor World Championships but she bounced back to pip Georgia Davies, who also qualifies, to victory.

In the men's equivalent, Liam Tancock produced an impressive display to secure his place at London 2012 with a time of 53.16.

Scotsman Robbie Renwick added victory in the 400m freestyle with a win over half the distance. Renwick is the first swimmer to qualify for two events at this summer's games.

Kate Haywood was another successful qualifier after finishing first in the women's 100m breastroke.
