Germany's Julia Mrozinski wins gold in 200m butterfly

Julia Mrozinski beats out Italy and Hungary to win gold for Germany in the women's 200m butterfly final at the European Games.

Julia Mrozinski has won gold for Germany in today's 200m butterfly final at the European Games in Baku.

The 15-year-old posted a Games record of 2:11.19 to beat Italian Elisa Scarpa Vidal in second on 2:12.27, while Hungary's Boglarka Bonecz won bronze with 2:12.42.

There was more disappointment for Great Britain's Holly Hibbott - who narrowly missed out on bronze in the earlier 400m freestyle final - as she finished last.

Her compatriot Amelia Clynes finished sixth in the eight-strong field with a time of 2:12.82.

The gold was Germany's 13th of the Games.
