Stevens out of UK Championship

Former UK Championship winner Matthew Stevens has been knocked out in the third round of this year's tournament by England's Robert Milkins.

The Welshman, who is currently ranked 14th in the world, suffered a 6-2 defeat at the Barbican Centre in York.

Milkins moved into a comfortable 4-0 lead before closing out the contest with little difficulty.

Meanwhile, two-time champion Mark Williams is also out after losing 6-5 to Ricky Walden.
