Rod Lawler progresses into last 16 of Gdynia Open

Rod Lawler has reached the last 16 stage of the Gdynia Open after winning three matches on Saturday.

The Liverpudlian, who enjoyed a superb run at the German Masters last week, saw off Jaroslaw Kowalski, Lee Page and Jamie Cope as his impressive run of form continued.

Meanwhile, Marcus Campbell came through a difficult contest against Gareth Allen to progress, while Alan McManus defeated Graeme Dott 4-1 in the Poland-based tournament.

The draw for the last 16 has paired Judd Trump with Mark King, as well as Stephen Maguire and John Higgins, who will face each other for a place in the quarter-final stage.
