Trump passes Dale test

Judd Trump has reached the second round of the World Championship with a hard-earned 10-7 win over Dominic Dale at the Crucible.

Despite suffering from food poisoning, UK Masters champion Trump took a 5-4 lead after Tuesday's session in Sheffield.

The 22-year-old got himself 9-7 ahead on Wednesday as he took advantage of some loose play from Dale.

Dale, 30, had a chance to bring the match back to 9-8, but a missed red allowed Trump back in to claim the victory.
