Dominic Dale lands Snooker Shoot-Out Title

Dominic Dale has defeated Stuart Bingham 77-19 in the final of the 2014 Snooker Shoot-Out.

The popular Welshman racked-up a break of 61 to put himself into a commanding lead, before Bingham responded with a break of 15, missing an easy pink to close in on Dale.

Number 23 seed Dale returned to the table to record a further 16 points to ensure victory and his first ever Shoot-Out title.

'The Spaceman' had earlier beaten fellow countryman Ryan Day 64-6 in the semi-final, while Bingham overcame former World Champion Graeme Dott in emphatic style.

Day cued up a break of 101 in the first of the semi-finals - the highest in the tournament - to claim a £2,000 reward.
