Bingham named 2015 Player of the Year

Stuart Bingham has been crowned as the Player of the Year for the 2015 campaign at snooker's annual awards ceremony in London.

The 38-year-old, who defeated Shaun Murphy to win the World Championship earlier this week, was also presented with the Snooker Journalists' Player of the Year accolade.

However, the world number two couldn't make it a treble after Judd Trump was named as the Fans' Player of the Year.

Nineteen-year-old Oliver Lines earned the Rookie of the Year trophy, while Joe Perry's triumph at the Players Championship was recognised as the performance of the 2014-15 season.
