Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has unveiled a new logo comprising his initials and nickname 'RGIII'.
Griffin becomes just the fourth Adidas-endorsed sportsman to have his own logo, following in the footsteps of Barcelona striker Lionel Messi, Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose and Houston Rockets centre Dwight Howard.
The 24-year-old has been a commercial hit since entering the league as the second overall pick in the 2012 Draft, selling more shirts in his debut season than any player had ever managed in a single campaign before.
"This wouldn't be possible without the love and support of my family, friends and fans growing up. This is for us and represents all of the work the people around me put in to help me succeed in life," Griffin said in a statement.
Griffin was named the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2012 but endured a disappointing campaign last season as the Redskins won just three matches.
