Tennis star Novak Djokovic appears on the Late Show with David Letterman and asks the chatshow host if he should take off his shirt.

World number one tennis star Novak Djokovic appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman in New York this week ahead of the US Open.

The Serbian is the favourite to take the Grand Slam crown at Flushing Meadows after defending champion Rafael Nadal withdrew from the tournament due to a wrist injury.

Djokovic will head into the major, which gets underway on Monday, having claimed the Wimbledon crown earlier this summer before he married his long-time partner Jelena Ristic, who is expecting the couple's first child.

During his chat with Letterman, Djokovic spoke about his physical condition and asked the chatshow host if he should take his shirt off to prove that he is in shape.
