Video: David Beckham surprises American family with $100,000 cheque

Former England football captain David Beckham surprised an American family with a $100,000 cheque during an episode of FOX show Knock Knock Live.

The 40-year-old, who spent five years playing for MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy, turned up at the home of the Gonzales family, the father of whom used to be a professional footballer in Mexico but quit to take up a job in construction.

After surprising the family, Beckham handed over a number of iPhones and an envelope containing a cheque worth $100,000 (£64,000).
