The London 2012 Olympic Games will reportedly be honoured at the National Television Awards this evening.

The London 2012 Olympic Games will reportedly be honoured at the National Television Awards for providing memorable TV moments throughout the summer.

The Games, which included one of the most-watched programmes of 2012 - the closing ceremony - will pick up the NTA Landmark Award in the capital tonight.

Lord Sebastian Coe, cyclist Sir Chris Hoy and Paralympic champion David Weir will receive the honour from 60 young rising stars from sporting clubs across the country, according to The Sun.

Team GB finished the Games with 65 medals - 29 gold, 17 silver and 19 bronze.
