Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has revealed that he and girlfriend Ciara are abstaining from sex because they want to do it the "Jesus way".
The 26-year-old NFL star has been dating the American singer since April, but due to the sportsman's Christian beliefs, the pair are yet to have a physical relationship.
During an appearance at The Rock Church in San Diego on Sunday, Wilson said: "She was on tour and I was looking at her in the mirror, and she was sitting there. And God spoke to me and said 'I need you to lead her'.
"I asked her, 'what would you do if we took all that extra stuff (sex) off the table?'. If you can really love someone without that then you can really love somebody."
Ciara has a one-year-old son with rapper Future.
