Seattle Seahawks fans 'start campaign to break up Russell Wilson, Ciara'

Seattle Seahawks fans reportedly began an online campaign to break up the relationship between quarterback Russell Wilson and singer Ciara.

The Seahawks, who reached last season's Super Bowl, have had a poor start to the season having lost their opening two fixtures.

Some fans believe that the team will be improved if Wilson does not have his famous girlfriend to distract him from the game.

According to USA Today, a GoFundMe page was created in the hope of reaching a $50,000 (£32,260) target to push Ciara's career forward so that the American singer will have limited time to spend with Wilson.

The page has since been removed.
