Danny Cipriani shocked to be alive after getting hit by a bus

Sale Sharks player Danny Cipriani has admitted that he thought that he would die after getting struck down by a double decker bus.

The 25-year-old was taken to hospital after getting hit by a bus during a night out with his teammates.

"I can't believe I'm not dead," Cipriani told The Sun. "I'm very lucky. It's just beginning to dawn on me, this nearly had a different outcome entirely.

"One of my mates took it in the hospital ward waiting for X-rays. I can hardly bring myself to look at it."

Cipriani was initially checked for concussion when he arrived at the hospital.
