DeSean Jackson offers $50k reward for burglary information

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson offers a $50,000 reward for any information that leads to a conviction regarding an alleged burglary at his house.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson has offered a $50,000 (£30,300) reward for information that leads to a conviction about a burglary at his home.

A spokeswoman for Jackson revealed yesterday that the burglary took place while he was away on holiday, with at least $250,000 (£151,500) worth of cash and jewelry being stolen along with a handgun.

The statement said that the vast majority of the value stolen was in items rather than cash, although police say that there was no sign of forced entry.

Jackson's mother discovered the alleged burglary and informed police that a number of the receiver's friends had access to the house.

The 27-year-old recently claimed that he deserved a pay rise despite having signed a new five-year contract before the 2012 campaign.

He was the Eagles' top receiver this season, catching 82 passes for 1,332 yards and nine touchdowns as Philadelphia reached the wildcard playoff round.
