Zidane, Ronaldo beaten in charity match

Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldo were on the losing side of the 12th annual Match Against Poverty in Saint-Etienne on Monday evening.

A number of ex-footballers, including Clarence Seedorf, Fabian Barthez and Frank de Boer, took to the pitch to take part in a charity match between an All-Star XI and a Saint-Etienne squad.

Despite Brazil star Ronaldo scoring a hat-trick, his side ended up losing 9-7 to their opponents in a match aiming to raise funds for those affected by the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba was expected to play in the clash, but withdrew due to an ankle injury.
