Tiger Woods announces plans to open restaurant in Florida

Former world number one golfer Tiger Woods has announced that he will open up a restaurant in Jupiter, Florida.

The 38-year-old, who has been out of action for some time with a back problem, is expected to officially open The Woods Jupiter: Sports and Dining Club in early 2015.

"I envision a place where people can meet friends, watch sports on TV and enjoy a great meal," said Woods. "I wanted to build it locally where I live and where it could help support the community."

A statement from the restaurant's developers has claimed that the 5,900 square foot building, which is close to Woods's home in Hobe Sound, is still being constructed.
