Shane Warne, Ed Sheeran reunite in Melbourne for concert

Australia cricket legend Shane Warne reunited with British popstar Ed Sheeran this week for the singer's show in Melbourne.

The pair seemed to strike up a friendship in April last year after it was revealed that the duo partied together at a Kylie Minogue concert.

On Monday, Sheeran performed at the Rod Laver Arena, 24 hours after he accompanied Warne as the retired cricketer commentated on Australia's World Cup victory over New Zealand at the MCG.

During their meet-up, Warne handed over a signed cricket bat with a personalised message for the 24-year-old singer.

Alongside an image of the pair together, Warne wrote on Instagram: "Hanging with this legend & good mate @teddysphotos !!!!!! #concert #awesome."
